Quick look at the Tour:
This day adventure (Scottish Highlands Food & Drink Tasting Tour) is for anyone looking to get out of the city’s and explore Scotland’s stunning food producers and delights amongst the beauty of the Highlands.
Journey into the Scottish Highlands to enjoy a sensory tour of sights, sounds and above all else…taste sensations. From traditional techniques and processes to high tech, high-end culinary adventures, this food and drink tour of the Highlands covers the full spectrum of historical and modern, locally sourced and produced high quality products.
This private tour see’s you collected from your place of choice, we will start the day with a refreshing trail walk in one of Perthshire’s many forestry reserves, priming your taste buds for the first of the days food tasting experiences – locally sourced & smoked salmon from ‘Dunkeld Smoked Salmon‘ – their traditional cold smoked and hot smoked salmon has been served to the Queen no less.
Treating this as a ‘starter’ for the days tasting ahead, we travel onto Aberfeldy, and Errichel House and Restaurant. This stunning eatery overlooks Aberfeldy and the Tay Valley giving you the perfect setting to enjoy your choice of delights from their menu – Errichel, a small family run hill farm, with native rare breed livestock; Shetland Cattle, Large Black Pigs and Shetland Sheep. They make use of their own farm produce in the food served, alongside showcasing the best local and Scottish produce.
With plenty of local beauty spots and walks available to us in the area (including the famous Birks of Aberfeldy), we can stretch our legs and let your lunch settle with a walk of your choice before making our way to the village of Grandtully and the ‘Highland Chocolatier’ Iain Burnett – with a range of tasting experiences on offer, plus a small cafe and shop to enjoy, this is the perfect ‘desert’ to round off your days tastings.
