Our Standup Paddle Board and Via Ferrata two day adventure tour is a great way to explore some epic natural venues in two very different areas of Scotland – the Highlands and West Coast.

Combining a day of dry and wet activities, starting with a wake up walk in the stunning Birks of Aberfeldy or Acharn Falls.
Followed by a lunch break with a hearty packed lunch supplied by us to prepare for an active afternoon, then for some Standup Paddle Boarding on Loch Tay with myself to get a real feel of the wide open spaces on offer in this wonderful country.
Finishing up the day with a Sauna on the shores of Loch Tay looking out over the Loch and Hills surrounding this magical place.

Dropped off at your accommodation in the local area for the night, to be fed and rested ready for the next day’s adventure.

Starting day 2 we head to Kinlochleven and the Via Ferrata course, this unique and exciting activity runs beside the third biggest waterfall in Scotland, equipped with fixed cables, staples, ladders and bridges, this route allow users to access this spectacular environment without the risks associated with unprotected scrambling and climbing.

Finishing of the day with a visit to a local seafood restaurant (meal NOT included) to refuel and the journey home, with time for a wee leg stretch walk during the trip back to your chosen destination.

Two Day Tour Itinerary

Two full days adventure enjoying some of Scotlands Waterfalls, Lochs and Hidden Gorges.

We will get the day going with your morning pick-up from your hotel or arranged collection point by myself in our luxury minibus.

From here we will go directly to the heart of Scotland, and a morning wake up walk in either the Birks of Aberfeldy or Falls of Acharn (your choice), the Famous Birks of Aberfeldy popularised in a song by Robert Burns, this fine walk up the steep gorge of the Moness burn reveals several waterfalls and stunning views of the valley, and the Falls of Acharn a spectacular wooded gorge with tumbling waterfalls and hermits cave.

We will aim to have our packed lunch after this walk on the shore of Loch Tay for a chance to recharge before a little more activity.

Then for some Standup Paddle Boarding on Loch Tay with myself to get a real feel of the wide open spaces on offer in this wonderful country.
You will finish off the adventures with a Sauna session overlooking Loch Tay, taking in the views of the Loch, surrounding hillsides, ancient loch dwellings, and mysterious islands, time to relax and unwind after a fantastic days adventure.

The sauna Fired by a giant crackling wood burner, lined in aspen and with panoramic windows stretching 40′ along it’s length, its the perfect place to relax whilst you take in the magnificent views across the Loch & hill ground beyond. You can relax in the fully tiled steam room and let the stresses and strains of every day life melt away, then chill out in the Hydro Pool, large enough for 30 people, The perfect place to unwind with a glass of beer or bubbly.

You will then be dropped off at your accommodation in the local area for the night, to be fed and rested ready for the next days adventure.

the day just gets better…

Starting day 2 we head west to Kinlochleven and the Via Ferrata course, travelling through the stunning Glencoe.

Nestled in an idyllic setting only 7 miles east of the magnificent Glencoe, the town of Kinlochleven is popular with climbers and winter sports enthusiasts who come to the Ice Factor sports centre to practice in very realistic artificial conditions. Climbers head into the Mamores, and walkers back onto the long-distance West Highland Way.

Via Ferrata, this unique and exciting activity runs beside the third biggest waterfall in Scotland, equipped with fixed cables, staples, ladders and bridges, this route allow users to access this spectacular environment without the risks associated with unprotected scrambling and climbing. With state of the art specialist equipment, you will be permanently clipped on to the continuous safety cable, allowing you to experience and enjoy this seemingly inaccessible environment.

Finishing of the day with a visit to a local seafood restaurant (meal NOT included) to refuel and the journey home, with time for a wee leg stretch walk during the trip back, we can while away the journey to your chosen destination enjoying tales of adventures done.

You will be returned to Edinburgh or your chosen point of departure as discussed.
